After another successful and well attended seminar last year, the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with ASME Europe, is about to organize the 16th Blade Mechanics Seminar. It will take place on September 14, 2011 and will be held in a similar theoretical and practical framework with a variety of interesting topics.
Dr.-Ing. Thomas Krueger - Group Head for Tools & Methods Alstom Power, Baden, Switzerland - will give the keynote presentation on: "Impact of Rotordynamics on Blade Vibrations".
The unchanged key target is to offer a platform for know-how and experience exchange among engineers from various turbomachinery companies. The Blade Mechanics Semnar aims to answer the participants's needs coming from their daily work on axial and radial bladed discs of aero- and heavy-duty engines. All presentations will be given in common engineering terms by using comprehensible mathematics.
